LAVOIE has presented the 1 Series, a high-performance folding electric scooter, in two versions defined by the size of its battery.

The first 469 customers will be able to reserve an exclusive Founders Edition of LAVOIE’s innovative e-scooter. This 469-piece limited edition honors the first two power wheels patented in April 1869. Founders Edition owners will have exclusive access to early product releases, updates, and private events.
The Series 1 comes in two versions defined by battery size. The standard Series 1 has a capacity of 468 Wh and sells for 1,890 euros, while the 702 Wh Series 1 Max costs 2,190 euros. This translates into a range of 40 km for the 1 Series and 60 km or 38 miles for the 1 Series MAX on a single charge at an average speed of 20 km/h in urban environments. The unlimited top speed of the 1 Series is over 40 km/h, and will be limited to 25 km/h in the relevant regions.
All 1 Series models can now be reserved via Lavoie’s website with a £500 refundable deposit, with confirmed production slots to be allocated to customers who order. The option to book with full payment deposit and 5% discount is also available.
LAVOIE has made security one of its development priorities. The Series 1 battery is housed in a waterproof hard case and has been designed and certified to meet the highest US and European safety standards. It is expected to be one of the most secure devices in the industry while delivering top-tier performance in line with the brand’s heritage.

The Lavoie 250W charger works fast, charging a full battery in less than three hours. The 1 Series has three power modes, so the driver can choose how they want their driving, from powerful to relaxed. Mode 1 is a slower, more environmentally friendly option, Mode 2 is an efficient and comfortable way to drive, and Mode 3 is for full power and top speed. The maximum power and speed of each mode can be adjusted through the Lavoie app.
The most defining feature of the Series 1 is the FlowfoldTM folding system. With the push of a button, the stem folds and the wheel rolls on the platform, providing a disruptive form factor. FlowfoldTM allows for a longer and wider deck, while the 1 Series can be folded flat to make it one of the most compact electric scooters in its class. This makes driving much safer and more comfortable thanks to the increased stem angle, car-like ride, freer foot position and shock and vibration absorption. FlowfoldTM also makes the kickstand obsolete. An intermediate position, called Park Mode, places the electric scooter in a perfectly stable and cushioned resting position.
Driver safety and road safety are intrinsic to the 1 Series design ethic and LAVOIE’s approach to redefining micromobility. The Series 1’s sophisticated lighting system has been designed to significantly improve safety. A halo light, presence lights, tail brake and LED driver lights highlight the user’s position on the road, while turn signals make turns safer.
In keeping with LAVOIE’s commitment to enhancing mobility and its high-performance automotive heritage, Ian Callum and his design and engineering houses came together to create the Founders Edition nameplate and LAVOIE’s signature color scheme. 1 Series.
