Edurobotic Synthesis and WinnBot are the winning teams of the FLL Euskadi-MONDRAGON.

Today, March 2, the Euskadi final was held and the state final will be on March 16 in Alicante. More than 300 students from 11 educational centers in Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia participated in the Arrasate tournament. The winning teams were Edurobotic Synthesis and WinnBot.

Edurobotic Synthesis from Portugalete and WinnBot from Markina-Xemein are the teams that have won the FLL Euskadi-MONDRAGON tournament in the grand final that was held throughout the morning at the Iturripe headquarters of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. These two teams will, therefore, be the ones that go to the state final to be held on March 16 in Alicante. From there, then, those classified for the international final will be held between April 17 and 20 in Houston (USA).

This year, more than 300 students from 11 educational centers in Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia worked on how to use technology and creativity to share hobbies. A total of 37 teams have participated: 17 in the Explore category (from 6 to 9 years old), and 20 in the Challenge category (from 10 to 16 years old). The classified teams belong to this last category. For the rest, the record is completed as follows:

1st MONDRAGON UNIBERTSITATEA Prize for FIRST Values: Edurobotic Error 404, Edurobotic, Portugalete.

2nd Prize DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE BASQUE GOVERNMENT for FIRST Values: Arizmendi Ikerlan 4, Arizmendi ikastola, Aretxabaleta.

1st Prize FROM THE FORAL COUNCIL OF GIPUZKOA for the Innovation Project: Edurobotic Mercurio, Edurobotic, Portugalete.

2nd DANOBATGROUP Prize for Innovation Project: BeraBrick, BeraKruz Ikastola, Markina-Xemein.

1st MONDRAGON CORPORACIÓN Prize for Robot Design: Arizmendi Ikerlan 1, Arizmendi Ikastola, Arrasate.

2nd LKS NEXT Prize for Robot Design: Konkistatzaileak, Oñati BHI, Oñati.

1st LORTEK Prize for Robot Behavior: Edurobotic Mercurio, Edurobotic, Portugalete.

ARRASATEKO UDALA Young Promises Award: Izugarriak, Fleming Herri Eskola, Villabona.

KREAN Award for Excellence in Engineering: Edurobotic Energy, Edurobotic, Portugalete.

A total of 171 teams have participated in FLL Euskadi (74 in Explore and 97 in Challenge) from 57 educational centers, 13 more than in the last edition.

For the fifth time, Arrasate has been one of the venues for the grand final of the FLL Euskadi tournament along with Bilbao, Donostia and Vitoria.

The inter-institutional collaboration to make the FIRST LEGO League possible has been Innobasque, Mondragon Unibertsitatea and the MONDRAGON Corporation that have organized the final of the FLL Euskadi-MONDRAGON tournament, which has been sponsored by the Arrasate City Council, Ausolan, Danobatgroup, Dominion Global , Erreka, Grupo Fagor, Ikerlan, Krean, Laboral Kutxa, LKS Next, Lortek and Maier. In Euskadi, the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, in collaboration with the University of Deusto, Mondragon Unibertsitatea and the UPV/EHU, is the main promoter of this initiative.

This year more volunteers have worked than ever, 480 in total, 130 of them in FLL Euskadi-MONDRAGON.
