- The first thing you need to analyze is your own person. What are you like? What do you like? Ideally, you make your hobby a job. Where do you see yourself in 15-20 years? Choose your profession based on something you like and you will work on it all your life. If you choose a profession based on, for example, the financial income you think you’re going to have, you may do financially, but you’ll spend the rest of your life working on something you don’t like.
- Knowing what you want to study or what profession you want to practice is a good starting point. However, you should also consider whether the path to that goal suits your person. To do this, it’s important to analyze your strengths (what are you good at?) and your weaknesses (what aren’t you so good about?).
- Evaluating options is also important and necessary: you can choose between a professional training, a career at the university, a specialization. The offer is diverse and the costs also therefore it is advisable to seriously investigate what is there and with what you identify with. Depending on what you want to study, you may need to go to another city or another Autonomous Community.
- Once you manage to determine which studies you are interested in then learn about the subjects that are taught, the centers where you can study, what are the possibilities in the labor market studying that. The more knowledge the better the decision will be. You should also keep in mind that not all training itineraries have the same duration or require the same dedication and/or effort.
- The decision is yours and yours alone. Get off the information and experience you have. Don’t follow the fashions, who guy’s going to study this or mengano the other, that this is the career of the future, that everyone in my family is this. You’re deciding something that you’ll theoretically do for the rest of your life, so the most important thing is you: your desires and skills.
- There are other important points to consider: what are the job opportunities with these studies, if it is a global option that will allow you to move anywhere in the world, if it will allow you to move to the level of knowledge and continuously grow as a professional, evaluate these aspects also before deciding.
