QEDU, the new app that will help you decide what to study

app-01-A

It seems that the Government has put the batteries when it comes to launching official apps. It has just announced a new proposal for the most indecisive students. It’s called QEDU: it tells you what to study and at which university.

Still don’t know what level you will study?

With the completion of EVAU, the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transformation, together with the Ministry of Universities, has launched the free application ‘QEDU, what to study and where at university’, to provide information to all students who want to access to the University.

Basically, what QEDU does is collect and offer information on the degrees that are taught in Spanish universities (public and private). To find the ones that really interest you, the app offers you two search methods:

By keywords: if you know the career you want to study, enter a complete word, select the type of career you are looking for and you will get more specific results.

By field or field: if you need to search for information on degrees in a field, you can navigate to different levels in the groups into which they are divided and subdivided, to see the degrees offered.

After carrying out the search, the app will provide you with a list of careers that you can filter by cut level, location, university and type of study, among others. When you select a specific title, you will be able to consult three sections:

  • General information: provides data on the degree and the university where it is taught, from the modality and language, the number of places, the location of the university, the cut-off marks of the current and previous call, etc.
  • Probable performance: allows to know the average number of credits accepted by the students of that degree, depending on the modality of admission (FP or Baccalaureate) and the grade to access the degree.
  • Employment: shows the job prospects of the students who complete each degree. It includes affiliation data, the percentage of self-employed workers, the volume of permanent contracts, the number of contracts with the appropriate contribution for that level and the average annual contribution base for each of them.
